I had a few crashes myself, when kicking the Shadow Dragon's ass. It popped a few times afterwards as well. But this didn't happen in my first run through the game

I had a few problems and found that the game really likes a clean HDD installation. Run scan disk, disc cleanup and then defrag your HDD, before installing the game and patch. After I did this I had no problems.
