In the type of bars I frequent giant miniture intelligent space hamsters wouldn't be considered that out of place, it has to be said. In fact, you could probably fit an entire party of BG characters in and people would just ask (i) where the party was and (ii) did anyone want anything special to smoke

You ever get to thinking..... mm you know, when you rest, your mages learn their spells back, but if they spend the 8 hours learning back spells, when do they really get to sleep?

You ever get to thinking.... Does anyone actually use the Larloch's minor drain spell at all? Why do 1-4 damage to your opponent when a magic missile can do 5d4+5 damage total. Are the 1-4 HP you gain really worth that much? he he

You ever get to thinking... Does anyone use the shocking grasp spell either? See reason above...

You ever get to thinking... Do the People in Baldur's gate ever eat? I mean they are a bunch of drunks, a ton of worthless bars about, but no food! Ahhhrrrrr

Good if you're playing BG1 and are, say, a second level mage.

mages don't spend 8 hours relearning the spells, I think it takes them about 15 minutes or an hour or so. They require 8 hours of uninterrupted in order to be able to learn spells. (at least in PnP)
