Alright, so here I am doing my english out of an old text book, which seems really funny, as there are so many typos, you wouldn't believe it. But me and my friends find out, as its incredibly prejudice against girls, if it hadn't been written in the 70's, the publishers and writers would be sued! In this current chapter, its talking about connections between paragraphs, and a sample is; 'Girls are a nuisance. Furthermore, they are gossips.' later it says they are a menace to society and then talks about mirror time! And the title of the book is The Lively Art of Writing.

Well I'm not so certain about the nuisance part. But have you ever been dragged by your mother along to the hair dresser? *shudders*

I think it was probably written that way in attempt to hold the attention of boys.

I wonder what the editor's mother did to the poor guy after that book was published. Not to mention wife... *shudder*

I saw a book from the 50s for children that was called "boys and girls" and it said "boys are doctors, girls are nurses, boys are businessmen girls are secretaries boys are fathers girls are housekeepers... etc..." and went on for 75 pages of such occupational quotes O_o . . . I was suprised to find it still on the shelves ...
