the reason they do this is a misguided attempt to change the behavior patterns of the boys.they are trying to turn them into little unthinking,non-violent,non-sexual drones.they can't kiss girls, they can't play dodge ball.

I clicked on the poll on the webpage

93% thought that the school was wrong
3% that it was right
4% said don't know

At least common sense haven't gone completely.

ok that's just stupid... We need to just replace the whole school system all-together, it's antiquated, its getting worse by the minute, and now it's SENSLESS in general!

but what we also have to remember is that stories like this are usually blown out of proportion, see we don't really know what happened, the kids could have been playing with their hands like that on campus or someplace within the classroom, perhaps they were already bad trouble makers and this decision was made out of angst from the teachers who just wanted to see the kids go down for something, Teachers are vile creatures, I should know, both of my parents teach, and ill tell you, nothing gives them greater joy than making someone elses day misserable...

talk about antique, i just read on the internet that in england private schools are asking permission from the governement to be allowed hitting students again when they feel it's needed. Just like in them good old days (lol). Wonder what the outcome of this will be.

prolly well behaved students Johnny. Think about it , if acting up in class means kids are gonna get a beat down from the principal , maybe they wont act up. Maybe they will shut their smarmy little mouths and learn something.I can think of several high schoolers who would benefit from a beat down in school.

yeah, i see what you mean, but teachers don't have the respect from the students anymore like they used to have. I remember when i was in school one of my classmates was smacked in the face by a teacher. The guy went home in anger and came back with his brother who is about the size of shaquille o'neil. That teacher really had to run for his life that day.
