Sorry in advance if these are stupid questions....
I just cleaned out the orc's cave...can I sell the the fish, the wolf pelt and the gems? (I remember being able to sell them in BGII but not sure here...)

Also, the temple says elves can't be raised from the dead..why? And how do I raise a dead elf? (I don't have a dead elf yet, but I'm sure I'll get there...)

Thanks!

The Elven soul can't be recalled from Avendor thus the body can't be raised unless it is as an undead...and you don't want an Elvin vampire in your mist.

Actually elves can be brought back. For the longest time I too thought they were gone forever. Then someone (probably Leafy or Axterix) pointed out to me that you can't use a raise dead scroll or spell on an elf, but you can use a resurrection scroll or spell (the one that brings the character back to life and restores him/her to full hit points).

Resurrection is a lot more expensive than a simple raise dead. I usually only keep one elf in my party and reload when he/she dies. Unless it's late in the game and I have a lot of extra loot to burn.

BTW: The only stupid question is the one never asked. Can you guess that I'm a teacher? Good luck and enjoy your game.

WELCOME Chaia!

Just to add one point to F Bronze's comments: Raise Dead and Resurrection SPELLS will work anywhere, BUT the SCROLLS ONLY WORK AT THE LOCATION THE PERSON DIED.
