Sorry I've been away for a while, I've been playing some other stuff, installing windows XP Pro and working kinda late.
I know some of you are fans of the M&M series and Heroes and I was wondering if anybody knew what was going on with the "update" service? Is the site toast or am I not connecting to it properly? Thanks.... it's nice to be back in friendly territory!

well, 3do is bankrupt. so that's mean there's no more update service anymore. However, you can search for patches in other sites.

How sad! Might & Magic was a great game. Guess that's the end of the series, though apparently M&M 8 was a real bomb. M&M 6-7 were so good. The RPG has been the loser in what to apparently "business considerations".Condolences to all M&M lovers and all those who missed out. There just arn't that many "good ones" out there. Hope the same doesn't happen to Sir Tech.

M&M 8 was passable. It was M&M 9 that was the real bomb. Many killer bugs, lackluster plot, etc.

You go Kakero! (where do you find those pictures and add them to your profile?) Thanks for all the input. Does anybody know of a site where I might get these? I do have some patches saved I think.

Ran into the same problem, I can no longer play M&M 7 or 8 due to the need to have them patched to work with windows XP

That's weird? I just put M&M 7 back in last night and I've been playing on XP Pro.

Variol: I tried installing M&M 7 & 8 and when I click to start up the game nothing happens. I get the little hour glass and wait about 2 or 3 minutes, the hour glass disappears and then it just sits at my desk top lol
