Has anyone had the laser eye surgery here. I have a appointment next month to see if I can get it done. I am so done with glasses. Either I pay for new specs. Or go ahead and get the surgery. A few people at work had it done. They all came out with either 20/20 or real close. My glass percription has not changed in about 3 years. So my eyes seem to be stable. Well I am sure they get worse as my years roll on. But has been good for a while.

Not to bad here in Edmonton. I think all said and done with appoinments and drops and surgery about $2200.
I have a health spending account at work that I have been adding too for a few years.

Slightly OT: Does your health spending account in Canada roll over from year to year? I think in the US if you don't use the money by year's end, you lose it and donations start accumulating from scratch in January.

All done and turned out great.
looking through 20/15 eyes. During the procedure it did not hurt. But for about 5 hours after. I could not open my eyes And felt like I was poked in the eye.

Do tell how it turns out... I'm considering doing this myself, but only if it is permanent... don't want to spend the money only to have it go bad again in a year or two.

If you turn out to be a candate. You can go back and get the procedure again. With the plan I have it is free to get upgrades. One guy at work had it done about 4 years ago. And still has the same vision.
Few other guys are on year 2 and still good. I hope I get some good miles out of it as well.
