I've been poking around the game data files and have learned how to change the models, the model's names, and their sounds, but I am having trouble locating the monster hit-point spread. Anyone figure this out?
I realized recently that I may have found the hex address already, but didn't know it because I was dealing with monsters from a saved game, which might not be getting updated from the main D6MONS.DAT file, but instead getting stats pulled from the savegame file. (The names and sounds are getting loaded on the fly, however. I changed "Graveyard Skeleton" to "Lesser Bone Minion," for example, and gave it some sounds from another creature and the changes took as soon as I loaded the saved game.) Anyway, I am making a mod (for my own amusement and replay value) and have already re-wrote and re-voiced Gareth's speech, and so forth, but I can't really continue if I can't make the monsters more powerful. Any ideas? |
