Default Camcorder's

Does anyone kow anything about Camcorder's?
I'm thinking of getting one for when we go away on holiday, but know nothing about them.
I want something small and easy to use, and not to expensive. Can you help?

Give these a look, we bought a xacti for our 11-year-old and keep borrowing it from him as it's smaller, easier to use and generally funkier than our more expensive 'proper' camcorder:

Movie quality is fine, one-handed use a doddle, from what I remember the price is low(ish).

I have one of these

http://reviews.washingtonpost.com/pr...DCR-DVD108.htm

Seems to be a good thing - purchased it for a lot more a while ago - but that is how tech goes

Battery life is .... ok at best - get extras - not that expensive

buy tapes where you can find them - never can get them when you need them

easy to use - amost brainless

only con - is on tape - a "digital" copy but .....
