Can't cheese with Color Spray easily, either. At least not that I know of. Ooh, ooh!
GOODBERRIES!

whew, finally got one...stick the shaman staff into a bag of holding after making goodberries, and you now have an infinite supply of them...pain in the butt, but at least minimally cheesy...besides, goodberries is a druid spell...

What's so cheesy about that?! You can regain a single hit point per round. Hardly useful in combat, and you can regain that by resting. (And I know it's a druid spell, but I was thinking REALLY hard for *any* spell, hehe)... So, yes, you can get an infinite supply of them, and you can sort of cheat the system.. but does that in and of itself make it cheese? I think cheese should be useful.. No, more-than-useful. They're just a pain. But this is just my oh-so-humble opinion.

oh i completely agree that cheese should be useful...cheese in fact should be "userfriendly" hahhahahah!!!! but i was really trying to think up any cheese from infravision, identify, colorspray, and goodberries...

any more??? i really think excepting the "crap" spells, that no sorc or mage would use in their right minds anyway, there are ways to cheesy use any spell in the game...for example, even "contagion" and "ray of enfeeblement" could be useful...in a high lactose way, of course...

Detect Evil! And so many low-level druid spells, actually. Shillelagh.. Magic Stone... They got the shaft when they were handing out spells and abilities, druids did.. They're an awesome class on pencil and paper DnD, but they sort of lost something in translation, they did.

magic stone is not cheesy, but detect evil and shillelagh are...

detect evil will give you an accurate read of all the evil enemies in a map, giving you creature type and numbers...even if a lich resists it, you get a message notification on high feedback...not so hot when you've played the game before, but when you're playing for the first time, knowing that in level 1 of watchers keep that there are fission slimes help a lot...and that the temple ruins are full of undead...just set game to high feedback, and use detect evil as a unfailable scout to detect whatever surprises await you...and if you got a mod installed, really handy for exploring new maps...

shillelagh is not a great spell, but when you wake up in irenicus dungeon, the golem guarding your stuff, in that room, cannot be killed with the weapons you can find immediately...but have jae cast shillelagh, and whack it to death...it doesn't fight back, iirc, so you get some handy immediate free xp...

druids have some of the most awesome spells in the game...nature's beauty and insect swarm...

Nature's Beauty *is* one of the best spells in the game... balanced by an uber long casting time. Insect Swarm is what gets me through the game as Faldorn, The Solo Avenger Druid (Check out The Chronicles Of Faldorn!) Improved Invisibility to surprise a mage, and, assuming I get past MR... Woot!
However, this doesn't change the fact that druids don't gain poison immunity (Or do they? I don't think so...), their shapechanging abilities are sort of limited (Instead of one form per day, it should be like a sorc...)
And I admit some abilities, like altering appearance at will, aren't always practical in a PC game.. they still lost some in translation.
And I do admit the Detect Evil thing.
But you make it sound as if the golem guarding your equipment is actually guarding.... He stands there.
And is it just me, or do druids not get some spells they should? Sunray comes to mind. Perhaps Zone of Sweet Air, too. Or am I just whining? Sunray seems like a druidic spell to me... SUN! Nature! Ah well...

Edit- Accidental premature posting, I had to finish.

druids do get poison immunity...takes a while, but high enough level, they're immune to poison...

well, the shapechange isn't all that good, except shapeshifter...

"but have jae cast shillelagh, and whack it to death...it doesn't fight back, iirc, so you get some handy immediate free xp..."

yep, he just stands there, so you can get some cheap xp immediately without having to run to the jar rooms for quarterstaff +1...

urm...jaheira gets zone of sweet air, along with harper call...

sunray...its not really a nature spell, its an undead blasting spell...

yeah, i understand how you could feel that druids got majorly gipped in the game...

Jaheira is special in that she gets some Clerical spells. "Normal" Druids will not.

That's why I brought it up. And Sunray *is* a nature spell... Druids abhor undead, moreso than clerics, actually. Evil clerics can create undead, and command them... druids will always stamp them out. What's more of a druidic spell than calling down the sun to blast away foul, unnatural abominations? (Anyone daring to suggest such a spell will get an instant mental bitchslap. It's rhetorical...)
