Sigh, I just heard on the news that a man around 30 years of age died from a headwound he got in an assault last night, the police has apprehended the person who did it, 25 yrs old male...
What is my country coming to? When I was a kid and all my teenage years I grew up thinking murders were something that happened in other countries, I think there was maybe one murder a year and sometime years went by without it happeneing... But in the last couple of years it has been on the rise. And this last one is the 12th this year. Including one child murder, psycotic woman slayed her 12 year old daughter and wounded her teenage son. A husband strangled his wife due to jelousy... in front of their 4 year old daughter. Then there have been several drugrelated "hits". it just sickens me... I mean there are only 290.000 people here, you'd think we would be more peaceful... Funny, we were just talking about your country and how so many of you come over here to shop and bring truck loads (literally) back home with you.
The violence just seems to be everywhere. It's very hard to here every day.

I know it's pretty insane, but when you consider that the price diffrence is so huge on some products that people actually save money even if the include the fly trip by shopping there it's not so surprising... but non the less insane...

When I hear about violence and murders, it doesn't really affect me anymore. In Louisville, the city right next to me, there have been over 60 murders and counting this year alone. Getting worse I'm afraid.

I am somewhat desensitized. I hear about murder regualarlly and see death in life sometimes. On saturday night I saw a car crash outside my work where 0-6 people (different stories, different outcomes) died. I went out and had a smoke watching what was going on. It is quite often we hear that someone got killed in the area I live in. But that's life.

How has the population changed in Iceland over the course of your life, Jorath? I mean, with more people, you're bound to have more crime...the US has more crime than ever, but we also have more people than ever too...
