Where do I buy Turnips?

I met Jan Jansen in the Government district, got him out of trouble, and he said I could find him selling turnips in the slums if I needed him. Now due to odd circumstances I need him but I have searched the slums and the Copper Coronet to no avail!
Exactly where is he?

Look on the map of the slums. In the SE (by the CC and the slave ship) is THE JANSEN HOME!

What do you mean wht are the reasons for needing him Black Knight. He's amazing. He's the best thief in the game (his gadgets really help) and he's also a resonable mage.

Why do I need Jan?
Imoen is not available, I receintly dualed Yoshi to Fighter so his thieving abilities won't be available for another 100,000 Xps. I had been using Nalia but she has just been kidnapped, and I need to do some skulking around to get her back. Also I have never used Jan, so I want to see what he is like.
Any more detail might require spoilers.
