Ever had so much to say that you couldn't really say anything at all?

Besides that I'm to busy working to pay the extra gas/heating oil bills and spending more time trying to make the world a better place by doing something rather than joining in alot of internet gripe-fests/head-butting contests.

I do read alot and have always enjoyed the diversity of opinion this forum brings. Shoot, I've even learned a thing or two- about myself and the world.

Anyway, I say keep this forum seperate if bandwith allows. I think it keeps GD lighter and friendlier and makes "serious" topics easier to find (or hide depending on perspective).

As always I will respect the decision of Choc and his mighty henchman Ziroc if they choose to close CE down.

Also there are some people who don't like such topics to be in GD, as they prefer to avoid debates. Just a consideration.

Very sorry to hear of your loss, Felix.

As for merging...I'd be inclined to keep them separate as well (assuming it doesn't cost you more $$ of course Z!). Even if traffic isn't what it used to be, I tend to think that IW benefits from a more serious area kept separate from General Conversation.

Here is a link to the entire Honor The Fallen.

And Sadly, this is for Robert.

He was training the Iraqi National Guard on convoy ops. Why he and both GG were in the same vehicle are still unknown.

Maybe talking about gas prices and Iran/Iraq and the war is making people aggrivated and so they decided to stop talking about it for a while? Who knows, but maybe you should trial the joining of general and current events to see how it goes before making a decision?

We'll make room for new forums coming up, as well as all new features here.
If CE does merge, expect the same rules to be in effect for political/touchy subjects.

Thanks!!
What good does it do to talk Zman?

Gas prices ha!, you folks should have seen them go from $.33 9/10 to $.78 9/10 in a couple of months in'73 and the gas lines then. Real gas lines, that stretched for miles in EVERY city. Or when gas went from $.85 9/10 to $1.75 9/10 in the early 80's. Gallon of gas is still cheaper then a gallon of milk!

Iran so what? They got a bunch of crazies(the leaders of the government) who have openly talked about nuking another country if they get the bomb. And people are whinning about how it is mean to try and stop them. How in the "HALE" do you talk to folks like that? (The ones doing the whining not the Iranians they're easy to talk to shot'em, it is the ONLY language they understand.)

And ever since we settled on the "Abortions for some, tiny American flags for others" plan, I have very little to say until they try to amend the Constitution to ban gay marriage again.

Who is that saying originally attributed to Illumina? (it's pretty funny!) Were you just quoting from the Simpsons episode where Gore and Clinton are taken over by Kang and Kodos or is it something that a politician actually said?

As for banning gay marriage, the Pentagon has apparently decided it's a mental disorder.

I was indeed citing dear Kang and Kodos. The link is broken, by the way, but judging from the URL I'm scoffing at that... I hardly believe the Pentagon is more qualified to judge this particular issue than the APA.
