In an average day how many hours would you say you spend doing things that aren't important, when you could be doing something constructive?

depends what day it is. Some days it could be the whole day, others a few hours. So I I think il vote about 3 hours as that would be average of days where i dont waste the whole day if u get what i mean

I do not waste time. Even if I am sitting in my chair, feet on the table, watching horrible tv-shows or sitcoms and drinking beer I do something constructive :

Beerbrewers and my Cable-TV provider can earn money, the entertainers can keep their jobs ,I relax to keep my power up for work next day and so on ....

But I think Blind_Prophet, your definition of constructive is a little bit different from mine ?

About four hours... Here I'm counting excess time spent in the shower, lying in bed in the morning attempting to get up (25 minutes, probably), and sitting around, waiting. I don't have the heart to say posting on IW, but the time I spend gaming is certainly a waste of time, sure.
My rule of thumb is, it's a waste of time only if you do it alone and to excess. If you were to game, say, for one hour with a friend every few days, that's not really a waste of time. That's a social thing.

so if u were to game, for say 3 hours everyday (excluding weekends, thats a differenct story ) on your own, then you would consider it a waste of time? What if it was online???

None . You can't work all the time; it's not good for your physical or mental health. I never shirk my responsibilities and everything I need to do gets done, plus I enjoy all the leisure I need to to refresh myself for doing more work.
