Can someone please provide specific directions to the Northern Wilderness Retrodungeon?
I have been all over this region with no clue whatsoever.

SPOILER:
This dungeon is really hard to find. The runes are on trees scattered around the area. Three are near the bridge to the Umpani Camp, three are along the way to the bridge to the Mountain Wilderness. The magic rock entrance is near the bandit ruins.

I have gotten the puzzle to the point where I need to place a short staff in the rock but so help me, I can't find a normal short staff! I've checked every single vendor there is (Anna, Antone, Crock, Sadok, Kunar, He'Li, Ferro, Fuzzfas.. everyone!) and no one carries it! I haven't seen it in any chests or lockers or anything either.. anyone have a tip on how to get a quick and painless short staff?

Thanks.

congrats.. you should know that some of those monsters in there are very tough, IMO.. There was a slime that took forever to kill becuase it had excellent resistance to physical attacks. My samurai and fighter who usually deals about 70-90 in dmg pr swing, did 10-15 max.. and it had 400-500 hp.. very annoying..

About the last group of monsters in the last retrodungeon:

spoiler...

There is 1 female "boss" and lots and lots of rapax ghosts. If you don't want to keep using asphyxiation and death wish to kill them, you should stand to the left of the door-opening, and take them 1 by 1 as they enter through the door.. it's very easy, no one ever hits you, and you shouldn't lose any hp at all..

You can visit http://wiz8.web1000.com/RetroMaps.html for maps of all three dungeons. If you click on any of the maps, you will taken to a page with instructions on how to activate access to the dungeon.

For you enjoyment.
