Light Bulb

Reading the AD&D book on Mages, I came across the idea that you could make a home for your character to rest between adventures, and store unneeded things and treasures. I have tried doing this with NWN, but can't leave and come back. Anyone have any ideas on how I could do this?

If you play it as a multiplayer game and remember to save each time you leave the house, that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
If not through saving then you'll need a persistent world/house, but one reset or crash and you'll lose it all.

Does NWN act like BG2 in that you can store youre spare items in any old chest or bookshelf and they will stay there?

You can store them anywhere, even on the ground, and they'll still be there if you ever return to the region. NWN does posess barrels/crates/everythings of holding just like with BG which should help you keep everything nice and organised.
The only times when items will disappear it'll be because you use them up or because someone scripted them to; many modules use litterbins which destroy any item you place in them for example.
