Game running very slow.. - Page 2

Well I've crossed several areas now and no improvement.

But sometimes, when I restart NWN and load my game, it runs @ 55 fps. I can walk around, destroy some enemies, talk to people and stuff. But then suddenly the fps drops to 7.4-8.2. I've seen it happen with Aribeth, when I clicked on her to talk, with the mayor in Charwood when I wanted to talk. But there isn't a pattern that I can see. It also happened once while rumbling through the inventory....

But sometimes the game simply starts slow and then it just isn't playable anymore. Now I'm forced to restart/reload to play another minute.

Just as a guess, do you have anything in your override folder? Also, what haks are you using?

I had the henchman HAK installed, but not anymore after my re-installation of the game.

Nevertheless, I went on a desperate crusade to get into Luskan ASAP, for I realise that that is considered a new sub-chapter. I managed to get there with a measily 8fps without bashing my monitor in. Now that I'm in Luskan, the slowing down seems to have vanished. I still don't know what caused it, but now I can (hopefully) continue the game normally. Thanks anyway for the support guys!!
