Hi peeplez

I was wondering what multiplayer modes are there? Can you do multiplayer campaigns via LAN?

Yes, you can do multiplayer via a LAN, if you have 2 or more CD-keys.

As for what modes there are, that depends on the author of the module your running and the way you set up the server. The official campaign is designed for single or cooperative play, some modules could be set up for arena style play where players face off against one another, still others could be set up for team battles, or a more story line oriented module might have a good party trying to outrace an evil party on some epic quest.

You can do pretty much anything you could do in a Pen&Paper game of DnD (with the notable exception of causing mortal injuries with a well aimed D20).

AD&D is the ruleset that this game is based on. Pen and Paper refers to playing the AD&D rules with multiple people, a human DM, dice, paper, and your imagination. Loads of fun, if you can find a group thats into it and willing to do it properly.

You can use the original campaign in multiplayer, but if were being honest the original campign isnt very good. But its good enoguh to get started. There are loads of modules for download at http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/modules and of course you can make your own once your familiar with the rules and have learned the toolset.
