HUH? the robes don't change your alignment. They can only be used by chars of that alignment. This means that for the evil chars to get the robe of the evil archmagi they have to travel to the underdark, good mages have to get the good robe from a smith in trademeet. Never found the nuetral one though. Dont try equiping a good robe on an evil char because it wont work. No alignment change OK.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of those paintings is of Daniel Walker, the guy from Bioware who passed away, as a sort of tribute. The only thing I question about this picture is if its supposed to be a "Ladies Man" or not (due to the pose).

It's actually a pretty famous painting of Elvis. There is also a painting of the characters of the old "D&D" cartoon (most of you are too young to remember that one) You can also find a hanging of "the Scream" and a few other pop-culture references.
