Well, I wouldn't ordinarily attack any NPC who doesn't strike first. I do have my honor after all and I took an Oath. BUT - that scoundrel Scanthril and his band of Darks Hands are a motley crue of cut throats. I never trusted the "Dark Hand" ever since I discovered their plots against the Circle. Now I have learned that one of their assasins is on the lose and I have been handed a "contract" to take him out. As if I did'nt have enough on my hands already!

Enough rambling - To the point then. I spoke to Scanthril one last time to give him an opportunity to redeem himself. He just confirmed my suspicions. RIP Scanthril!

No assassin upgrade available now thorny - you need to do the job for Scanthril to become an assassin.

Oh, you mean after you completed his quest - yes, very definitely experience fodder then - good riddance to bad rubbish.
