Ok I have dutifully upgraded my golem manual with the pages as and when I find them. Is it just me, or does anyone else find the sone & juggernaut golem versions useless? It seems to me that the clay golem was more hardy than the supposedly "improved" models.

I found the first golem upgrade page, but Cespanar doesn't acknowedge it? Can't figure that out.
The juggernaut golem page he was able to use to upgrade my book, and once I cast it I've never seen a golem die so quickly...lol ------------------ An elevator smells different to a dwarf. |

Thats because the golem dies if the casters gets hit five times.

Yeah, the general consensus seems to be that you should upgrade to clay and only to clay. Basically, stone requires +2 to hit, and juggernaut +3, but everyone in TOB has +3 or better weapons. On the other hand, the Clay requires +1 or greater blunt weapons, which not everyone has.

Why didn't Caspenar acknowledge my clay golem page? Did anyone else have this problem? I didn't hack it in. I found it fair and square.
At first, I thought maybe it's because it was in the bag of holding, but after unloading it to my characters inventory, he still wouldn't look at it? ------------------ An elevator smells different to a dwarf. |

Besides that page, you need the Book itself, as well, right?? If that is so, I think there lies the problem.

He'll only reckognize it if you haven't upgraded it higher yet...that is, if it's unupgraded you can upgrade it to anything, from clay you can go to stone or jug., from stone to jug. but not to clay, and from juggernaut you can't upgrade it to anything.
