About fathers attitude, you totally missed the point ! No matter how strong and responsible and self-sufficient the daughter is, her father will always see her as this little thing that has to be protected against the world's harshness (men's harshness being a non negligible part of that ! ). Because of this : the day the father acknowledges that his 'little' daughter is perfectly able to take good care of herself, he starts to feel useless and old ... so he will never never never do that, no matter what !

BTW, how is your tentative romance with the girl you spoke of several weeks ago going ?

Ah Moiraine, I know this, I´m the youngest in my family so my mother is always worried sick about me, and well I´m the blacksheep of the family (you say that?) and well hehe, I know how it is.
My feeling about Krav maga is that even if you don´t release her totally you will be able to sleep a little better, and the daughter will be able to defend herself if something happens! Mostly that one.

Yep it is real sunny here and warm.
About that girl well.. Hmm, I don´t feel that I have anything to offer at this moment so i took the cheicken way out and did not contact her. And in this aware country she could have called me. She has my phone number and so.. But has she nooo.. ah well.. Some you loose some you win and some fights you don´t even rise up to fight in the first place...

Damn, I need to see a shrink i guess hehe

I remember having given one good tip to my now-husband when I presented him to my Dad : as he is rather tall and my father is quite small (Er ... yes, we are all Gnomes ... ), I had advised him to always speak to my Dad while sitting !
