I just found her lair in the Graveyeard. Is there an easy way to defeat her? I plan on hiring someone to aid in the task but she's a very powerful mage. I notice there is a second piller in the room much like the one she's standing on. It told me it'd be easy to smash it, so I did. What's it for?

A collective? playing computer games? who'd a thunk it?
EDIT: Just to add a bit to my post so I'm not spamming ALL the time, I suggest you complete all the subquests concerning undead before you smash it as it kills all undead, even the ones that are in the beggers district [ 07-17-2002, 04:40 AM: Message edited by: Downunda ]

I typically do the Beggar's Nest as the second city district, so I'm usually level 5 or 6. I've never found her to be much of challenge. Just charge in there and beat her down. Ignore anything she summons. Shouldn't take more than four solid hits. I found the bloated dire spider a much tougher fight.

A tip for fighting any mage is to attack a magic user fast so thay have to make a save vs failure on there spell and if you can do decent damage from afar you can stay out of the range of a few more spells wail disrupting them. Other than that sheer force will work too get by getting in close and doing lots of close range damage which would also disrupt spells.
