Ive bin noticin lately that lots of ppl dont really know much internet slang... or take a long time to interpret it... so I thought we could all try to make a list of all the internet slang we know [img]smile.gif[/img] , feel free to add [img]smile.gif[/img] :

Ok... well 4 a start sometimes letters at the end r dropped off... which aint hard to interpret... like noticin or somethin( [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] 2 in 1

u = You
r = Are
4 = for
ur = Your
ppl = People
sry/soz = Sorry
IMO/IMHO = In my opinion/ In my Humble(Or honest) Opinion
AFAIK = As Far as I know
IIRC = If I Remember Correctly
b4 = before
no = can mean know (Its pretty obvious when it doesnt mean no as in the opposite of 'yes')
y = Why
thx =Thanks
b = be
y = why
k = ok
g2g/gtg = got to go
2 = to
ho = who
np= no Problem
j/k = Judt Kidding

AFK = Away from keyboard
RP = Role Play or Role Playing
IC = In character (used in RP)
OOC = Out of character (used in RP also)
LMAO = Laguhing My A** Off
LOL = Laguhing Out Loud
L8R = Later
[EDIT] BTW = By The Way

I don't use much internet slang at all - part of the reason for that is that I have to type at work using English, so I don't want to start confusing the issue and ending up sounding like a teen internet junkie when I type a letter! Could you imagine the fuss it would cause?

Also because I can touch type at 60wpm there really isn't any need for me to abbreviate [img]tongue.gif[/img] I'll leave that to you non-typers [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Most of us know about internet slang but choose not to use it, as do I. Why not just write plain english given that it's blatently the clearest and easiest way to communicate? I often don't waste time trying '2 figure out wut ppl mean w/internet slang' because I find it rather hard to take the author seriously. As always, feel free to comment, criticise, flame or drill [img]tongue.gif[/img]
