Run the druid multi class with Fig and you will be able wear better armor and shields. Druids with the HOW expansion are excellent against undead, SOl searing orb, moonblade, wall of moonlight, sun score and my favorite static charge make the Druid/fig a must.

this looks like a reply even though it's a new post, though I'll reply to it anyway...
I find that a fighter dualed to a druid works a bit better. I dual at 7th level so I can have mastery in two weapons, plus the extra 1/2 of an attack at 7th level. The only thing I really lose out on is the other 1/2 attack at 13th level, but it's worth the tradeoff for faster progression (especially when you get between levels 12-14) Rolling the ability scores isn't all that hard too. I usually give up on Constitution. I figure 10 hps per level as a fighter for 7 levels is about what a single classed druid would get over 10 levels so it evens out. My two cents.
