IMOEN'S LAMENT
On a cold stone floor in a far-off cell, lay a maiden all forlorn. Captive, she, to a maddened mage, her mind and body torn. She shuddered to think of when he next would claim her once again. Or his sister, worse, to call her forth, and take her to where they'd lain. Oh, please, oh, save me, please! For I am lost and lorn, But, how can he find me, when he doesn't know where I've gone? She dreamt of a savior to come for her and save her from all the pain, To carry her forth to the world outside, to try to forget again. But who could it be but her childhood friend, whose friendship slowly grew To nearly love. And who then else? She had none else, and that she sadly knew. Oh, please, oh, save me, please! For I am lost and lorn, But, how can he find me, when he doesn't know where I've gone? She was the bait, the mage had said, to bring her friend to him. And, while he waited, well there she was, he'd play till the lights grew dim. He'd show her death, he'd show her lust, to slow unhinge her mind. And when he's done, then there was she, his leavings quick to find. Oh, please, oh, save me, please! For I am lost and lorn, But, how can he find me, when he doesn't know where I've gone? She wept and screamed, and pled in vain, but they just laughed and said, "You are but naught, a plaything just," and play with her they did. They stole her soul, and when they'd done and she was lying, numb, The cell door opened, there was her friend, and she was stricken dumb. Oh, please, oh, save me, please! For I am lost and lorn, H'ss found me, he's found me, but now we both are lost! "Oh, Imoen, I've found you, sweet, now we must flee away." The cruel trap closed, the laughter pealed, and he was forced to stay. But they escaped, and found the fiends, and vengeance to them brought The Abyss yawned, they sent them there, where they could dwell as naught. Oh, please, oh, save me, please! For I was lost and lorn, Oh, he's saved me, he's saved me, and now we both are free. And, so they live, and now they know, that they are siblings just, Their father Bhaal, the fallen god, whose realm has gone to dust. But, yet they love, as much as fit, brother and sister dear, For all the realm, 'gainst evil set, to each other, ever near. Oh, please, oh, save me, please! For I was lost and lorn, Oh, he's saved me, he's saved me, and now we both are free.

Now, young Johnny K. has come out of the West.
Of all the Dutch troopers his beer tastes the best. His talent in drinking exceeds misssions of war, If you ask for his medals, h'll give you a jar.

FDL, thanks, Dundee. "Praise from Sir Hubert is praise, indeed."

Don't worry, Johnny, the trouble will be stopping me.
