I hope they get them put out soon, and that everyone in the areas are safe and ok. It's horrid.. Stop and do this if you can: Close your eyes and pray for rain and for the winds to stop.

I just saw a headline that said 13 lives and 1100 homes have been lost to these fires. What a calamity!

rain might not be the best thing with that much scorched earth around, it could result in massive landslips. There isn't much mere people can do in the face of such collossal natural forces. Just hang tight Californians, hang tight and ride it out if you can.

It is certainly horrible down here. The smoke is so thick now you can't go outside without something over your face, and they've pretty much shut down all the schools until the smoke cleares and people can function normally outdoors
