k, so first of all I need an ordinary weapon to finish the spell needed to fix Oswald's ship. However, just before leaving I got rid of all my normal weapons and just got a bunch of masterwork blades (if'n I didn't already have a magical item). So now I need to know where, if anywhere, I can find a normal weapon?

and second of all, in the Ice Temple there are all those lovely lightening decorated doors. Now, I know how to use the prism device and have opened pretty much all the rest of the doors, but there is one that I can't get. It's in the SW, connected to the room with the huge mirror that all those guys are trapped behind. There's a mirror in that room that would theoretically direct a bolt to the door, but I don't see how it's going to get from the prism to said door. So how does that work? And what's in there anyway???

1)Go on a Killing spree...if you dont find anything your screwed, check all the accessible places in Oswalds ship there might be one in there.

2) This would probably be the biggest problem in the Ice temple i hear abotu this alot, but i do not rember how i did it. Test shooting the bolt and rflecting across millions of mirrios, try a different formation of mirriors every time. It will take alot of your time but i BELIVE that it is worth it.

In answer to #1: you don't actually need a weapon, you need metal.

Did you by any chance retain any of the broken weapons or armor you have found along the way? Any one of them will do. I think there's also a broken weapon or armor to be found in the area (where the Yetis have their nest, iirc). In the case of last resort, if Captain Yurst doesn't have a dagger or something (like Broken Armor, for instance), I'm sure you can find something useful in Andorra even if you don't kill the residents, given that there is a fight on the second level (upstairs) even if you mangage to negotiate right-of-way through the village.

In answer to #2: there's a secret door in the room directly east of the mirror room. It looks like an upstanding coffin. Make sure this door is open before shooting the bolt. I don't remember which way the prism has to be facing, but if you follow the path back from the mirror, through the room to the east (which has two fixed mirrored pillars) and back to the prism room, you should be able to figure it out. There may be a moveable mirror in the halls between which has to be moved as well. If you don't figure it out yourself, I'll fire up a save game and check it for you.

Hope this helps.

#1. Yurst definately has broken armor...or even use your iron wardstone from the last mission in the gobbie HQ.

#2. I found the guys behind the glass window (how DID they get there?) a pretty challenging fight. But maybe that's because i suck at RPGs...

Spydar,

In order to get a bolt from the prism machine into that mirrored room, you have to first go into the room with all of the shadows (due south of the prism I believe). There is a secret door on the west wall that must be opened there. Once that door is open, go thru and open the door into the mirrored room as well. Now go back to the prism and aim it south (i think that's right) and fire a bolt - it will bounce off the mirrors in the shadow room and reflect off the mirror in the mirror room unlocking the door to the room to the south.

As for the guys behind the mirror, DO fight them. It's a TOUGH fight but they have some nice goodies on them. Be prepared for a nasty encounter though. Buff your party to the max and call in some summon monsters for reinforcement. Put your party in in a semi-circle with the open end against the left wall and put the summoned monsters in front. Now break the mirror against the left wall and watch the fun begin.

As for your other question, Captain Yurst has a broken weapon, broken armor and some miscellaneous metal scrap on him. Use either the weapon or the metal scraps to fix Oswald's ship - the armor itself can be sold for 200 gp later on if you afford the weight. I think you should have a bag of holding by this time - so just dump it in there.

thanx for all the help you guys, now I just need a few spare minutes to try it out (stupid university with all it's stupid reading). As for the Yurst hints, I do believe I did get his broken armour, but it didn't work for the spell. Altough, I may have not had the belladonna yet so I'll have to try it again.

Ooh, the Iron Wardstone!!! Never thought of that... but I had tons of Broken Crap anyway, so no surprise. But that's cool to know.
