When I press the Load button, the game crashes without showing any error messages. I have tried to install the game again, but it doesn't help. I can delete my save games, start a new game,save and load this game without any problems, but when I try to press load with one or more of my "old" save games in the directory, the game crashes. I really don't want to lose my old save games, so what I should do?

Did you alter your saved games? Like with Dalekeeper.... by any chance?
If you over tweek the wrong thing, the game won`t read the save file right,and it will crash. Learned this playing Icewind Dale I the second time around. Raised some stats and levels higher than they were ever ment to be.... boom crash..

Ive experienced this thing before.
Go to the save folder in the game installation directory. Find the folder named DEFAULT and delete it. Start the game and see the results.  [ 11-04-2002, 09:07 PM: Message edited by: Balhifet ]
