Oh my Well'ard!! The things you learn about people! So, what's your favorite color?

I always thought the reddish-orange was pretty cool. Everyone does black, it's so, well, black!

But I digress .....

I regret to inform you that about two years ago i gave away my entire record collection to a friend of mine, over 100 albums. I didn't have a recordplayer at that moment, and even if i did, i only play tapes and CD's.

It was a tough moment, it's like giving away a little piece of yourself. Among them was the entire Simple Minds collection, A few U2 albums, Talking Heads, Duran Duran, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Queen, and Rolling Stones.

I now have a recordplayer again, but no more records.

I used to put together vinyl signs, does that qualify for anything?

I've got some 5 feet of albums in the basement here... haven't listened to any in a long, long time, but Rush was probably the last album on there.

Still have a turntable, although the belt on it is probably toast at this point.

Seeing Hildy on Trading Spaces decorate a room with albums was... depressing and exhilirating at the same time. There may still be a use for some of these

Biggest mistake album I ever bought: something by a group called the Werewolves. I like werewolves... pity I didn't listen to the album first to see if it was remotely my style of music. At least it was in the bargain bin (cheapskate me!).

Well I must be getting old, not many takers

What was the last Vinyl record you bought?

Rattle and Hum by U2. Having to get up and change sides on a double album was the last straw. CD's rock

What was the last Vinyl record you played?

A month ago I dug out some vinyl for my kids. Roy Oberson greatest hits and then some Beach Boys. An hour of fun dancing with my wife and kids in the lounge

What is the best Vinyl record you own?

Depends on the mood, the most played was Fleetwood Mac greatest hits. I bought 3 copy’s because they wore out. Oh and for you young 'uns that’s, "greatest hits", the one before Stevie nicks left school never mind joined the band back when they where the best blues band in the world ... 1969!

What is the most missed vinyl record you have (so scratched or worn you can not listen to it!)?

Joni Mitchell "Blue" blues folk .. Voice as intimate as a lover whispering to you in the night, as blue as the deepest coral ocean and a voice that soars above and beyond taking you far away from the depressing teenage mind that is your prison.

I don't have vinyl myself, but my dad has loads of records at home. Classical ones, but also Beatles, Meat Loaf and stuff like that. I still search them every once in a while to find some great ones in there

I do own a record player though but it's not here with me in Leiden but with my parents.
