Rudedawg, I like the way you've chosen to roleplay your character. About enemies which need to be hit with blunt weapons - what I suggest is just carry a simple club as I am sure your ranger would have no qualms about thrusting a bit of dead tree at a foe. You won't be the best club fighter around with no proficiency, but it's better than being stomped on. Also IMHO this solution preserves your role-playing aspect?

Yeah. A simple club or the Mace of Disruption should do you. After all, you have to go all round the houses for Crom Faer

Yeah... there's a lot of weapons that can help in the right while... just don't figure out..
Hope you do the same in Throne of Bhaal

Are there arrows of hammering which do crushing damage, or was that Icewind Dale...? THe Golem stick mentioned above is definately worthwhile, and potions of invisibility are a good survival technique

After reading these responses, I appreciate the help...
Understand that I am trying to do this without any blunt weapons...
I've finished this game, as well as BG TOSC, and IWD...
Sometimes I've played with power characters, with every uber-weapon in the game...
I prefer the game I'm playin now...
It's more challenging, but I'm going through it quickly, since I know the storyline...
It's a different kind of excitement...
It's like finding it all over again...
