-Dafan !!! That signature ... HUH ??!!??
-Memnoch, I agree, the Blunt weapons were pretty sucky in BG2. But thats because there wasnt much use of them... or am I wrong ??? I'm not going to equip one of my chars with some stupid christmas collored mace just because its good v.s. Trolls. I had some marvelent archers in my party, so I just shot one accid arow on their stinking corpses-gonna-be's and it was Troll --> Exit. And you might say : One arrow 4 every Troll, that is a waste of money. But in the end I had more money than Bill Gates, so why bother. Did annyone else have this "problem" ??? ------------------ "The Lord of murder shall perish, because Azreall has kicked his ass badly. You can always walk in the front door and reforge without talking to the folks inside. I did that, too. Once....
Yes, the flail is good for clerics. I use it and find it helpful. It really is up to you and what kinds of characters you have. ------------------ There are no right answers - only answers that won't bite you back. |

I like the Flail of the Ages and here's why:
1. It is a magical blunt weapon (+3) which is required for some enemies. 2. It does elemental damage. So, even if a mage is Prot. from Magical weapons, you can still disrupt him as he is not protected from the additional elemental damage. 3. Most importantly, upon successful hit...it slows your enemy. As you get further into the game, you come across some enemies that have some serious speed and slow hoses them up pretty badly. |
