It would be nice if there were fatigue rules in place that penalized you if you were up for more than 24 straight hours. It's certainly possible to do it, but not at 100% capacity.
Also when I used to play in PnP games, we'd have parties rest in "shifts". Someone would always be awake and guarding the other characters (mages might sleep through the whole night sometimes if they needed x amount of continuous hours to memorize spells). Seems like that might make a nice feature for a CPRG. As for resting in enemy territory, well if you somehow managed to clear/find a safe niche in which to rest, why not, especially if you need to. Nothing wrong with doing that from a RP point of view to me.

Yeah, it's always annoyed me that most designers seem to think the entire party is going to sack out at the same time in a dangerous area.
Regarding fatigue, I know the little "need to sleep" symbol will show up after awhile, but that only happened to me once in the game when I kinda lost track of time. Usually my party slept once a day, both to avoid fatigue and to renew spells. Wasn't sure what the effects of fatigue might be, but I didn't want to find out the hard way. If there are no actual consequences from not sleeping for long periods of time, there ought to have been some. |

I always rest after each battle where possible, a bit unreal I'll admit, but hey, it's a game!.

Well, I think exactly like Desdecado.. Its just a game. They could make it more real, and then sleeping every 16 hours ot something like that, would make sense. but otherwise..

According to the Icewind Dale II instruction manual, "A character can operate at peak efficiency for 24 hours game time (2 hours real time.) For every 4 hours beyond 24, however, the characters will recieve a cumulative -1 to all of their rolls until they rest."
