OK, Friends.
I'm stumped. The scene: Three player Multi. All broadband: one Cable, two DSL connections. Two of the computers have firewalls, Black Ice Defender; One of the DSL and the cable. Here's the problem: The two companion players are unable to hear many of the coversations, or to see the text included. Since I am the only one in the group to have finish the game, I want them to see and hear everything. And I don't remember this problem from any of my other Multis. TECH FRIENDS. PLEASE HELP THE DAWG!!! ------------------ |

I dont know bud. Reeka and I were playing a multi and the same thing happened to us. I think its part of the programming. If the person the PC is interacting with is talking to another of the players i know you cant answer any questions on their behalf. But it seems like most of the time, but not all, I could hear what was being said.
If I remember correctly you arent even supposed to be able to play multi with a firewall functioning. Try shutting down the firewall. That might fix it. ------------------ THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hey Earthdog,
Same thing happens with no firewalls. But it appears the only conversations not seen by the players not speaking to the npc are the 'non essential' ones that don't advance the plotlines much or at all and are for 'flavor' in the area. Now that I think of it, I did have that happen in my last multi. There's a guy near the bar in CC that will hit on your female pc if she talks to him. I told the host of my other game that and he went to talk to the npc, just to see what he said. I never saw the dialog. That's exactly right. Someimes the guys run off and leave me and they want to know why I'm not coming, well, I can't go anywhere until I complete the dialog I'm in, but they can't see that.
No way that that I know of ------------------ O_H_F |
