I was just wondering, those of you who use Firefox, which theme you use.
I was using Noia 2.0 until yesterday when I decided I didn't like it. I am currently using Pinball. Which is simple but very nice methinks. So which are you using? |

Which version of Firefox are you using?
I'm pretty sure I've got the newest version and all the themes work for me. |

Charamel.
Zuvio, there is a way to flag themes compatible with 1.0. You need to download the .jar (or .xpi , since this also works for extensions), extract it as a zip archive, and modify the file install.rdf . There is a max version setting in there somewhere - you'll know which one is firefox because it will tell you the max and min version if you try to install it (or, is that only extensions? I forget...) - and change it to a max version of 1.0+ . Then re-pack the archive, as a zip (not a RAR), and rename it to .jar . That will work right up until 1.1 in March, even for those people who use nightly builds. [ 01-04-2005, 05:10 PM: Message edited by: LennonCook ] |

Themes (and extensions) have a min and max version defined in the file. If your browsers install version isn't between those versions, it will not install. Most are compatable with 1.0 now, though. It can depend alot on where you get them from. UMO is the most up-to-date list of themes I know of, but it still lacks quite a few.
So, no, you're not missing anything except the headaches of themes that have fallen behind. |
