AH! I think I just found out the problem.

See, for a while now, whenever I move the Network cable for the server, the router lights for the server go out, I wiggled the cord, then it would come on. I THOUGHT it was a wire problem, but I just replaced the cord, and it did the same thing. IT'S THE NETWORK CARD! If I put the network cable in the nic card slot, and it doesn't come on, on the router, I wiggle it IN the slot, and it comes on. SO... it's a network card problem, and I bet this is what is happening, and it's 'shorting' the connection.

Lucky me, I have another nic card, so I'll drop it in the server tomorrow, and see if this gets rid of all these downtimes.

And remember, someone said this started right after the server got hit by a huge lightning surge. So it may have slightly screwed up the card..

Cross your fingers folks! I hope this is the cause.

*crosses his fingers* I really hope that your problem (and our problem too of course!) will be solved this way!

Lennon, did your computer just die? And if so, am I going to get the blame?

On topic, just got the usual IW cutoff.

ISP is freeserve.

I seem to remember getting similar traces - ending up in a 10.x.x.x address - well before that lightning strike.
