hey i finally got through abigazels lair, but aerie was burnt to a crisp. i can't bring her back, i mean she's still laying on the floor, but her portrait is gone. anyways should i use edwin now? i'm using viconia, minsc, saveroc, nalia, and my main character is a fighter/magic user/thief. however since my guy is multiclassed his levels aren't that high. i'm just worried that without aeries cleric abilities that my party won't be balanced well... any advice?
thanks |

Try reloading instead, there are no other Cleric/Mage NPCs, so you'll have to lose either a lot of mage spells or a lot of cleric spells.

Viconia is enough cleric for any party! Try Jahera if you want a sorta-cleric, but I'd just take Edwin.

at this point, taking Edwin could be just the advantage you need. i agree that Viconia herself should be able to cover all the priestly spells you may need, just stock her up with a lot of mass defensives (bless, chant, prot. from evil 10' radius, etc.) in addition to her normal stuff, and you should be alright.
edwin, as a specialist, will have even more spell slots than aerie did, and will be the ultimate magic-user considering you are already that far in throne of bhaal. delight in the huge amount of 9ths he will soon be able to cast! 9th level mage spells are the paramount coolness of the whole game, and the more, the better! |
