First of all i finally beat Shurgeon Castle in like 4 hours and without comming here for help.

And for my poll will i have 2 polls i wanna do so here they are:

1. how many life points did your best character beat the game with? and what class was he or her?

2.How many people found shurgeon castle easy?

I think the 5 hardest parts were:

1.entry
2.water sentrie thing
3.going through the barracks
4.the room with the 9 ghost things
5.The haleabus encounter

take care all

Well done Dude.
Q1 I haven't finished yet but expect just over 200hp.
Q2 I found the casle challenging enough & I agree about getting in being the hardest part.

Hmm letīs see, my best character ended up with some 360 hitpoints I think... And no I didnīt find Shurugeon Castle that hard. The hardest was to find the wizard when he telported out of the castle lol. The 1st time I played I spent 1― hours searching for him, then I posted here and got a reply in 30secs lol. The sentrie isnīt that hard. Just because heīs in the water doesnīt mean you canīt find him hand-to-hand. Dive in and start whacking ! The ghost trap can be a bit difficult but with dispel undead itīs a piece of cake. Haleabus on the other hand can be a real pain! I keep one of my monks just for healing.

I guess I have a low tolerance for babble. I thought the hardest part was...Waiting for D'soto's ghost to stop talking....

I couldn't wait to have at those little imps..

Oh yeah, I just remembered I did have a problem with the skeleton in the locked cell...I kept trying to shoot him, then I realized I could use 'Summon creatures' on him...Duh...

1. I am playing solo characters so that my best character is level 75 or so and has 400 - 700 HP according to his class
2. The worst part of Shurugeon Temple? I agree with Packrat: being forced to listen to D'Sotto's whinning

Congrats on making it through the castle! 'Tis a challenging feat, to be sure.

I found it relatively easy, aside from a couple of encounters: the barracks, and the room near the entrance with the sliding wall (that dumps out so many undead). The vampire room was a little challenging, and Haleabus was easy from a distance (just kept dodging his spells).

Of course, the puzzles are what make it more challenging, and I really enjoy puzzles in a game.

Congrats Dude 77!!!

I have no idea who many hit points my best character had - enough that they were still alive at the end of it all!

I enjoyed SCastle! Took me a while to figure out the skeleton in the armory.

Did anyone else ever take a leap off of that ledge near D'Soto's room? I did and managed to make it to the wall and walked around the top of the castle. That was fun (the leap was a bit scary ) Which reminds me, I did have a hard time finding the chest in D'Soto's room the first game. Just totally overlooked the thing.

A very fun dungeon with lots of variety!

Actually, Wyv, not only can you make the leap from D'Soto's ledge onto the wall, if you time it right, you can actually jump from the wall to the ledge! Which means that you can climb the castle from the wall in the back, walk around to his ledge, and sneak into things from there.

I've done it once, and only once -- the very first time I jumped from the ledge to the wall. Since then, I haven't been able to get the timing right to get back.

I didn't like becoming a vampire much. I tried it for a while but ended up going back to a saved game & trying again.
What about getting to the castle past the mantraps?

hey guys!
in order to reach the castle past the mantraps, i haf a solution to it though it may not be very effective......
1st make sure that you have a clear space for running, and next is just 1 simple rule......RUN LIKE KELL AR!!!!!!! when you reach SCastle, run to the walls at the sides and move all the way behind so that you can just see the mantraps but they cant breathe at you. after that juz keep blasting them wif sun spells, elemental blast which is under stone, pain which is under fiend or other spells which i dun know yet.......
oh and regarding the hp thingy, i'm not sure whether you guys haf heard it or whether you guys dun wana cheat, but there is a way to boost your hp to very VERY high. if you wana know it, send a reply or check out the cheats section which i 4got where already. lolz!!!
