Anybody had this odd bug before(Somethin 2 do with Kelsey)

Okay dokay in the Kelsey mod everything was going smoothe. I kicked him outta me party and I went to adventurers mart talked to him wizards came by and I got my butt wooped. I decieded to pick up Kelsey when I am a higher level. Now I installed another mod I forgot what its called I think its Tashia a female Sorceross. I came back to Kelsey talked to him and this what came up

Kelsey-
He says nothing I press a button and another numbers then the wizards came and kicked my butt again. I fear I won't be able to talk to Kelsey again is it because of the dilly do wack hack mod I installed if so I will kik it outta here

This sounds alot like a fragged dialogue.tlk ; but WeiDU mods shouldn`t have that problem.

Wait for one of the experts to get here

That hasn't happened, but I had other problems with the Kelsey mod. I don't think he is very compatible other mods.

Sure he is.

Sythe, if you're running the Kelsey-SOA 1.0.4 patch (which you should be), select him and press K. That should restore his name and such.

What wizards, exactly, are attacking you? And what mods have you installed after Kelsey? He coexists perfectly fine with Tashia, but what else do you have on there?

I re-read, it looks like you're saying that there are no lines after your PC reply prompts and so forth? Yes, that's a dialog.tlk problem, most likely you tried to install the mod while you had the game running, or had a mod/edit tool open. You'll need to reinstall it. You may just want to hold out a few days for Kelsey-SOA 1.5, which will be considerably improved.

What about that dialogue.tlk fix option in IEEP ??

I honestly have no idea what that's for. At a guess, it has something to do with fixing mistakes one would make in IEEP. [img]smile.gif[/img]

The "talk fixers" don't actually have anything to do with changing the .tlk file, it has to do with the strings assigned to the CRE files. We still don't know WHY they get out of alignment, only that it has something to do with de/reinstalling a bunch of mods. We know how to fix it, though, which is the more critical part. [img]smile.gif[/img]
