Saz, this has to be one of the most meaningful and important posts that exist on Ironworks! Not only did you provide neat information on thier background, you made a wonderful informative post! Maybe this will help somebody, somewhere. Maybe it will make a difference and save an animal's life, or provoke others to attempt to be be more helpful in community service, or whatever.

Congrats, and good work, Saz!
They're beautiful. I know that you will gain greatly as a person by spending time with these gorgeous cousins of ours. BTW, I'l look for the links to a few wolf sanctuaries here in Texas that I used to contribute to. Thanks for bringing up my wish to volunteer there.

Saz, thank you for this wonderful post, you and your wife are truly great people, and I feel honored to having met you.
I hope people like you shall also make come to better sense people who THINK they love animals and get a wild one, not realizing that one can't own an animal, and that the only way of respecting wild life is watching it thrive and keep away ... [ 07-05-2002, 01:01 PM: Message edited by: Moiraine ]

Great post Saz! What beautiful new friends!
I'll certainly vote for the banning of purchasing and ownership of wild animals in Texas if it ever makes the polls. Its beyond stupid to take those animals out of their natural habitats and expect them to become domesticated. I can't believe just north of here you can take an African Sarafi at an expensive resort, complete with African wildlife. It'll suck for them and us too when some disaster "frees" them. The wild animal shelter in Boerne "lost" a cheetah and a panther or a jaguar when it began flooding, but thankfully, by the next afternoon, they were returned to the shelter. Thank you and your wife for taking the time to volunteer to give these beasts some care...they truly need more than our laws offer them! |

Thats great Sazerac. Its good to see people lending a hand to the animals that need help and to see that more people are helping nowadays.

Saz, Ive got a great idea here. Stand in front of one of the cams so I can see whether its working or not I clicked the link and went to the cams part of the page. Im getting pictures on the page but I cant tell if the cam is working. If they are, the refresh rate is REALLY slow. Lets make plans for you to stand in front of the cam so all the wonderful members of IW can see you waving
When do you start this thing again??
