to get through the temple ruins, I made my whole party invisible and had anomen walk around turning undead. All of the baddies just exploded! But, can someone help me on the statue riddle? Minsc is pretty toasted by those flamestrikes by now.

*flips through his BG2 Puzzle Logbook*

Beats surfing the internet for answers, I keep a logbook filled with the solutions to most of the puzzles in the game. No more searching for widdle itsy-bitsy pieces of notes filled with cryptic clues.

Morning Ritual:
---------------

I shall say a prayer to the Light.
I shall hold high the Holy Book that the Sun might bless it.
I shall reflect on the glory of the Light as it conquers the Dark.

Noon Ritual:
------------

I shall sing a hymn of praise to Amaunator.
I shall raise my hands to the Light.
I shall rejoice at the dominance of Light.

Dusk( Evening?) Ritual:
-----------------------

I will recite the Tenats of the Faith.
I will hold high my children that they might see the Sun.
I shall mourn as I watch the Sun give way to the onslaught of night.

I never cease to be amazed at Dundee's orginisation. I've writtn a lot of that stuff down, but usually I refer to the Versus Books Perfect Guide, I mean, why solve 'em more than once.(shrugs) Especially those annoying ones in the Spellhold Dungeon.

Actually, I do not copy down the solutions to the puzzles in the Spellhold. I find them rather easy especially since I like riddles a lot, I only pen down in my logbook, solutions that require sequences. I HATE sequence puzzles, and cannot be bothered to memorise them, thus I write it down for future reference.

Nice going there Dundee..

I personally aint marking anything down. Simply because I would forget where and what I marked (would forget that I even marked something heheh) and if it's on a paper, I would probably just lose it or throw away by accident..

Riddles I don't really like, then again the ones in Spellhold (and further 'down' in-game) weren't that bad either. I aint english speaker natively, but the solutions to these riddles sure were obvious. Which is good and hats off before Bioware - even the non-english speakers will be OK in BG.

As for the rituals, then I have been through that part few times but blast it, I never remember what it was hehe.. So I either just talk with it once all things are straight, or I seek the area. After all, if there's a huge stone head asking the riddles, one would think there should be some clues somewhere as well. At least in the games and movies. Heh..

Going right now through the BG1 with my paladin, getting him ready for the BG2. I can though bet that I probably will forget all these rituals again and go through the place as always
