Just opened the box

I was wondering if anyone knows if having npc's fight with you and/or make a kill lowers your xp all.. and could anyone tell me the secret to formations, I have a war/sam/bard/priest/mage/ranger.

On another note, what caught my eye about this game was SIRTECH.. does anyone remember star trail!! That is a classic.

I'm not sure about the XP question, but I remember Star Trail. A great game. Shame that the sequel was a bit naff.

Secret to formations .. Don't put anyone in the front rank. Spread your main fighter types over the left, centre, and right. Any weaker characters such as mage and priest can be better protected in the rear rank, but still hit monsters with an extended weapon.

I use the same formation as Pangur. On the topic of exp - it is shared between all members of your party (at least those that are alive when the battle ends). So each monster is worth a certain amount, and that is divided up between your team. Quest experience however, is a fixed amount per person, so it is not diluted by extra numbers.

If NPCs join in the fight and are not in your group they do not get any exp from the battle. If they are a part of your group they share the exp with you.
