Well I'm not keen on some insects, but I don't think it's serious enough to be called a phobia.
I am a bit claustrophobic, and a bit phobic about crowds of people.

I am REALLY scared of wasps. If one comes near me I don't hesitate to shriek, run, throw a hysteric fit or make a complete fool out of myself...
I don't mind bees or most other flying insects - that is to say, I'm not scared of them. But wasps (and those big hornets too) really REALLY give me the creeps! Edit: oh, and spiders too!! *shudders* [ 01-15-2002: Message edited by: Melusine ]

High places with a chance of falling for me. My first time rappelling was hell. Once you learn to trust the rope, it's not so bad. I don't think I could do skydiving though. You'd need a cattle prod and a couple linemen to get me through the door! I don't like spiders and scorpions or stinging insects either. Little ones are no problem but big ones stimulate my boot stomping and swatting response. Closed spaces don't bother me as long as I'm not stuck and have air and some light. Most phobias are actually natural instinctive fears. The ones I have are within perfectly normal limits. Being nervous around venomous critters, places you can be trapped and suffocate or places where you can fall and die aren't necessarily unreasonable fears. These instincts are quite helpful for survival actually.

I'm mildly Agoraphobic- Fear of open spaces or of being in crowded, public places like markets. Fear of leaving a safe place.
Wal-Mart holds no comfort for this lost soul
