I have a Geforce4 Ti4400 but strangely I cant play on either of the two resolution choices above 1024*768. They are greyed out! My geforce is capable of res over 2048. Im running directx 8.1

Any body know whats goin on here?

I haven't a clue mate - you should try the Bioware Technical Forums, the guy who produced IWD2 Darren answers techy questions like this daily. Maybe he can help you out?

Hmm, neither can I. I guess the setup program automatically detects your Monitor and would not allow you set resolutions higher then the one supported by your monitor.

Or Maybe you need to set your monitor to the new resolution first before playing around with the setup program (?)

From what I have noticed is that the game only lets you have a resolution below what you monitor is currently set at.... At least that is how it seems to working in my part of the world.

Yes, the game resolution will be more cooperative if it matches your desktop resolution, or visa versa...

Another problem you may be facing is whether or not your monitor can handle the resolution. I do not know this...but have heard tell that some older monitors do not funky resolutions.

You really would not want to take a resolution greater than 1024! I tried 1024 and the sprites where much to small cause the game is designed for 800 and it will be just more of the map on the screen but much smaller. I think when i click on "unlock modes" in setup i can select 1024 and 1600.... but again it wouldnt be that useful...
