Urr well i think there are pro's and con's for every game in this world. But still hav to say NWN totally sux and i think its more for DIABLO I and II fans then RPG where u only hack and slash with no reason and the worst thing is that there are not a single BG2, IcewindDale, ID2 strategy involved. Well all i can say is that ID2 is much much more better than the others but the 3rd Edition rules are missing one thing .... which is the XP cap which i tot was taken off when 3rd rules were implemented.
I only which we could level up to level 255 and thats what i call wonderfull RPG with no limits. BUT..... can anybody answer me this cos i like sci-fi shows like star trek, star wars and the best of all macross (if u eva watch it).... Y izzit there any RPG like ID2 with some futuristic weapons or scenes. For example eva thought of a elves using a plama sniper rifle whom he can cast magic at the same time..... wearing adv power amour mkII from fallout 2 and the best part pulverizing a golden dragon which is equip with generated plasma shields from its body. Well i think maybe im a little out of my league but dun u think this might be more interesting than the plain bow and arrows and lame swords. The sound of a chaingun ripping a bunch of undead zombies might be music to ur ears and seeing em being cut half and having lots and lots of blood splirting all over the floor. Its just an opinion sorry for the long crap i wrote ..... As trigun said "LOVE and PEACE" <-_-> he forgot to add in WAR AND SEX kekekkekekeke.......

I loved IWD2. I don't know what these bugs are that are being complained about. My PC meets the minimum specs and I had no problems whatsoever.
I'll admit that I didn't like all the puzzles and thought that some of them were rather obtuse and difficult to solve and with very sparse clues. OTOH, I loved all the battles. Below is a link to another current thread along these same lines that contains my "review". http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...;f=23;t=000193 |

I didn't receive my collectors Edition until last friday sept.13th
so I got a late start. I had just finished the main Quest in Morrowind about two weeks before and had started playing Neverwinter Nights. I was disapointed with NWN its OK BUT its no Baldurs Gate and I wasn't really upset that Icewind Dale II was late becauce I was in the middle of NWN and didn't think I would start IWD2 until finished with NWN. But after reading all the forums here at Ironworks I loaded the game up and started playing. To make a long story short NWN is back in its box unfinished and Icewind Dale is going full blast. So far IWD2 has proved to be about 10 times better than NWN !! So what that its not 3D, every time you go through a gate or door there are twice as many monsters than what you just killed. Now this is what I call an RPG D&D style. So far I've not had any problems with the game. But I did buy the best gaming computer out there last year just for Morrowind and NWN including Radon 8500 3d excellerator in a pent4/2.2 gig but I still use windows 98 (less bugs)and I play watching a 64" HD TV I love this system. Now as far as IWD2 and trying to keep your team going the same way no big deal I still play Baldurs Gate 1 with mods added to it that the guys at TeamBG have developed and BG2 and IWD1 with new mods from TeamBG and am always collecting team members that have run off to who knows where. I just consider them as my drunken exploiers run amok and chase them down then lead them by the hand back to where everyone else is headed. You just have to stay awake and don't let the little suckers get away from you. Hell that's just part of the game as far as I'm conserned. Anyway Icewind Dale II is the best game to come out since BG2 shadows of Ahm and Throne of Bhaal and I love it and I really would like to see Icewind Dale III some time next year The 3rd edition rules are great!!!
