Sorry, I just cant get over the FACT, yes FACT, that the Lakers NEVER beat Sacramento. The shot should have NOT counted. Sacramento should have the rings. I hope The kings beat the crap out of them this season. Nevermind that LA would have got the crap beat out of them if the NBA had straight shooting refs anyway. I usally dont care that much for basketball but this is something that really irks me. And while we are at it, The bulls never beat Utah in 1996 either

This season will be the Kings! Or the Mavericks, I can't decide on who to pick yet. How about that fight between those two. I'm going to make sure I watch all of the Kings vs. Lakers games this year. They should be some really good battles.

That remark about the Bulls doesn't make any sense. Of course they beat the Jazz in 1996. I'll take 1 Michael Jordan over 10 Stockton and Malone tandems any day. And about the Lakers, they lost their first match yesterday, against San Antonio.

Too funny johnny!
The Lakers received the rings for their 3rd in a row championship season in a ceremony earlier, and then lost their gamelast night. Of course, having Shak out DOES make a HUGE difference. Can the Lakers win 4 in a row? It all depends on how health Shak is....

The foul wasn't called because he IS Michael Jordan. ************************************************** ****************** Robert Horry's "miracle buzzer beater" last year DID get off in time...so it definitely should have counted. It was the shot at the end of the FIRST half that was late. Without it, Robert Horry's heroics would still have left the Lakers short.

That's right Cerek, he's been doing so much trashtalking over the years that the refs were perhaps a little afraid of making a bad call on him.

All the talk about shooting is irrelavant anyway. As I said, the lakers wouldnt win near as many as they do if the NBA had straight shooting refs.
I am not asking the refs to be perfect and call everything, its impossiable to do that(Even thought Basketball is the easiest game to call). But some of the stuff is so obviously obvious its painfull to watch. BTW: The lakers lost there second straight tonight, bwahah, to portland! If they lose to porland I cant wait till the play The kings and Mavs. Hey! Sabonis (sp?) is back! BTW No.2 : Hey Johnny, you see to be on the band wagon of all the really good teams in the four major sports in america, The Redwings, The Lakers, The Yankess, hmm... . Ok, ok, no need to point out the obvious, the Yankees didnt get to the world serries this year and the Lakers are 0-2, but the last few years those have been the teams. And I am not sure where you stand on American football.

Iron Ranger, for your information: i'm a Knicks fan, i hate the Lakers. But the Knicks dont stand a chance against them.
In American football my favourite team is Greenbay, always has been. [ 10-31-2002, 10:37 AM: Message edited by: johnny ]

IMO the kings totally outplayed the lakers in the championship series last year. The lakers may have walked away with a lucky vistory on the series, but agIn IMO the kings proved themselves to be ther better basketball team. I can't wait to see them duel it out this year. I was reading something about rick fox and one of the kings players getting into a fight in a preseason game, and then everyone talking trash about it afterward. they fought on the court and then were both ejected and then fox went over on the kings side and jumped him again in the hallway leading back to the locker room. Its going to be a pretty heated matched, because the lakers arent feeling secure anymore, they know they actually have some competition.
I think the kings will take it this year, I guess we will have to see what kind of playoff magic the lakers can pull off again this year. either way the kings are still a better team.
