If you guys want to spam occationaly, don't do it here okay? If you must then just stop by in DEATHMAGES REALMS!!! It's a pretty cool site! (Infact... I'm signed on right now! Engaged in conversation with Talthyr. ) and D.M. does allow spamming. But of course don't stop comming here! THE IRONWORKS RULES!!!!

*Sir Mandorallen, allways the Ironworker at heart! And here to stay!*

Well said Larry, I had a fairly obnoxious post ready to go but deleted it. You did it with far more diplomacy. LISTEN TO ZIROC! AND LARRY and ANY OTHER MOD. Quit the dumbshit

I have a question?????

What about things like welcome threads? - saying "Hi" - doesn't take a lot of words
or saying "bye" when someone is leaving?,
or in a thread when someone makes a comment that you strongly agree with and wish to express that you do?,
or answering a direct question with "yes" or "no"

I'm new to the whole internet thing, and I'm getting so confused

I just wanted to ask you all to kinda be less spamistic. (a new word!)

And these quote pyramids are getting nuts. Until I can figure out a way to fix these, keep quotes to 3 or less quotes OF quotes (huh??) hehe.. I am looking for a fix now for it..

Sucks to have to scroll to the right to read!
I normally try and cut and paste only that which I'm replying to.

Welcome threads have seemlingly been declared non-spam, as we have an official welcome wagon (Cloudy)... as for just Hi and Bye posts, I think thats mainly what Cloudy's Cafe is for.

All this is just commonsense really, and moderation. It doesn't bother anyone if someone spams once in a while, or talks junk once in a while. I do it myself. But people need to know when to stop - to know when to hold off. All it takes is a bit of discipline and common sense.

Sorry, but Z, here's one vote fully in favor of keeping IW the way it is, Spam and Seriousness together in one forum. It makes it much more fun and much easier. The one thing I'm not too fond of at TSR is the way I have to visist two forums to get my general chat in. GD wouldn't be the same without spam.
It wasn't a serious suggestion, just a round about way of acknowledging there had been a lot of spam recently. Anyway, I'd never indorse spam...

Buy - as indorsed by Monty Python himself
