Yes its another of those questions that has been done to death
But for this time has a purpose Neb the so called "Master of Polls" has not played FF7 but refuses to admit it could be better then FF6. IMO FF6 is a great game, but not comparable to a legendary one like FF7 which has 3 times the gameplay, 3 times the graphics and 3 times the replayability. SO shall we show him which games boss?

Neb you call yourself a FF fan, and you haven't played FF7? Let me tell you a *little* bit about it. *Cracks knuckles* FF7 is my favorite so far. The story was excellent. It was a somewhat typical good vs. evil, friend gone enemy storyline, but square gave it everything they had. It had to be good if I played through it nine times in a row. (Well it would've been ten, but I got Omnislash on the first disc like I wanted.)
The materia system ruled. You could do so much with it. It was something like the esper system in FF3. Weapons had slots, and you could fill those slots up with any materia you wanted. There were support materia too, so you could cast that spell up to four times in a row, or all enemies, or drain hp, and/or mp.
I think the Limit Break system first came about in seven, and that was really cool. First you started off with braver, and then worked your way up to the ultra powerful limits. Of course you wouldn't get those without a little bit of work. Try out every character and see who you like.

Well that's it I suppose. Oh and FFX comes in second place with me.

Let's not forget the battles against ruby and emerald
weapon.they're two of the most exiting fights in the FF-series,
along with the omega weapon fight in FF8,and the Ozmafight in FF9.

Oops, forgot the topic My favourite is FF8,with FF9 a close second.

Being A hard core FF fan I own FF1, FF2, FF3, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8
FF mystic quest, FF legend 1, FF Legend 2 and FF legend 3

No ff9 though

1, 2 + 3: I think are poor(But they are quite dated, plus I didn't
like the way you selected your party at the begining as this made
sure that thre was no character story lines) my score 3/10
4: I would give 5/10 (The main down fall is the main chars name
Cecil)
5: Much better 7/10
6: Is up there at the top 10/10
7: Up the with the greats 10/10
8: A let down after 6 & 7 8/10
Mystic quest: Gets a bit boring after a while 5/10

As for the final fantasy legends games I haven't finnished them yet so no comment.

To me FF9 was another let down. It was just way to old school. I like moogles, I like wooden airships, but FF9 had an overdose of em. The story wasn't that good either.
You had to give FF8 a chance man. I've been to forum after forum, where people have said that game sucked. Play any rpg enough times and it'll grow on you.
Oh that's wrong. Cecil was cool! That is a *guy* name you know. Oh I better beat that game today. I stopped playing right before the final boss.
I never played Mystic Quest but I heard it was way to easy.

I'm Not Sure Which FF I Like The Most. But I Don't Think FF7 Is My Favourite... I Think It Would Be FF8 Or 9... I Have Played FF6, But Am Looking Forward To Playing The New Remake

I've played FF1, FF6, FF7, FF8 and FF9. Completed.

The general concensus, points at either FF4,6 or 7 to be the best.

I thought FF6 was amazing. FF7 was amazing, it was the first one I played, and didnt apreciate as much. FF8 and FF9 I also enjoyed.

I think my fave would have to be FF6 or FF8. FF6 cos of its story, btu FF8 was just great. Everyone slagged it, but they shouldn't. It was a fine game.

But they all get 10/10 from me. Loved them all.

FF7 or FF6 (FF3 in Japan) IMO these are the best Final Fantasy games so far...I wanna play FFX, but I don't have a PS2 .
