Wouldn't that be grammar, and not logic? And punctuation-wise, wouldn't it work for either of the two grammatically-challenged options?

But since I was questioning whether there was missing punctuation and not debating the linguistic gymnastics which deal with syntax, morphology nor even semantics it can't really be a matter of grammar, can it?
