8 bit-theater is a really great comic, but it has gotten much, much better than those early ones. I started reading around episode 30, and I think it's now up to 312. A new comic every tuesday, thurs, and sat. It's one of those things where you can come in to the middle of it and get the joke, but not get "THE joke". If you can spare a few hours, read them all, they are funny as hell. It really does a great job of poking fun at rpg cliches and the people who play them. My favorite bit is when they try to talk to a typical rpg guard, who can only replay with "Welcome to Corneria!" over and over.

Oh yeah, this part is hilarious.

Guard : Welcome to Corneria !
Fighter : I like sword !
Guard : Welcome to Corneria !
Fighter : I like sword !
Guard : Welcome to Corneria !
Fighter : I like sword !
Guard : Welcome to Corneria !
Fighter : I like sword !
Guard : Welcome to Corneria !

Black Mage : Sigh....
